Students in Mrs. Emily Pearson's Reading class kicked off the 2016-2017 school year by holding themselves accountable in reading through setting a goal for the year.

Each student spent class time brainstorming goals they would like to focus on throughout the year and chose one special goal to illustrate on "The Porch" outside of Harding Middle School's cafeteria for all to see.

Students are focusing on becoming more fluent readers, reading more books, working on their team cooperation goals to help improve their performance in the classroom, and focusing on comprehending sections of their text as they read.
